At Seawall With Dog and Dinosaurs

I did this sketch at the seawall the other night.  I didn't have time to paint it then (if you read the text in the sketch you'll know why) so I just added some colour now.  I'm playing hooky from work today.  Will go in later, but right now I'm needing to fill my soul with a little art, a little music, and a little actual daylight.  Thirteen hour days inside a mall, which is how I spent my yesterday, does not a summer make.

Note to self: Find more excuses to go outside and play.

Yes... go outside and play and share the adventure with your fans... I love the peak at the sunset over the top of your sketchbook.. beautiful colors.

Great sketch. Belated Happy 4th.

Definitely get out of the mall more and feed your soul.

I really like this sketch. The boats on the horizon and the colour of the sky just feels right. As for Yogi getting restless during Jurassic Park - I don't blame him. It's a little too frightening for us dogs. I bet he'd be able to sit through all of The Triplets of Belleville though.

Another two months between posts...Sketchalina must be suffering from "real life syndrome"...where day to day activities like earning a living, keep her from playing with watercolors and blogging....We sure miss her exciting paintings and stories!

I like the way you've used the water for your journaling with the horizon and sunset at the top...fantastic page.
