I'm having great fun experimenting with these new folding books I've been making (how-to video here)! This was from my workshop at the Penticton Art Gallery on Saturday (finished later).
Next stop? Sitting outside the Convenience Store on Main Street today - looking across at Grant King's, Mykonos and of course Nite Moves, where Austin worked while he was home last summer.
Here it is before the page gets flipped out, with a little peek at the Cannery Building sketch on the next page:

This book is spectacular... I had to rush right on over from flickr to see more...Your color is so nice and clear and crisp...What beautiful work! :)
Wow - this is incredible. I love the 'long look' of the whole street. Great idea!
Oh my goodness, how amazing. This is absolutely beautiful. I just love it. I may have to attempt this sometime. Wonderful !!!
Great work!Love the colours
Love your work, will have try making the book. Thanks
Your spreads are always outstanding, and this format really shows off your composition. It amazes me how much paper you cover with out overworking it!
hey I posted a contest. Come check it out if you want.
This is so great! Your paintings are fabulous! I made a tiny one with scraps, which is okay, but I didn't think about how the thickness of the paper on such a small size would affect it. Now I wish I would have done one this size! That looks perfect! And I love how it looks when you have it opened!
